The American Red Cross and the National Association
of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) commenced the 2009-10 Red Cross /
NAIA Collegiate Leadership Program on Monday, June 8. Katie McLintock,
a student-athlete from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah will
write a daily blog chronicling the two-week program aimed at developing
leaders in and out of competition.

MEET KATIE: Katie McLintock will be a junior at Westminster College
this fall and is a Libero on the Griffins volleyball team. Westminster
volleyball went 8-6 this past year in the Frontier Conference and will
open 2009 play on August 21 against Biola (Calif.). The schedule lands
Katie and the Griffins in Hawaii in October 10 for non-conference
competition. Off the court Katie is studying Business Marketing and is
the head coach for the High Country Volleyball Club. She has been named
to the Dean's List, is a mentor to Utah youth and is a tremendous
representative of the 45,000 young men and women that compete under the
NAIA umbrella.
