WHITEFISH, Mont., Feb. 1 , 2010 - Zivile Gaizutyte of Montana
State-Northern was named the Frontier Conference Women's Basketball
Player of the Week.
Gaizutyte is a 6'2" junior forward from Vilnius, Lithuania. Montana State-Northern split their weekend series. The Skylights beat Rocky Mountain College 73-69 and lost to Carroll College 52-65.
For the week, she averaged 22 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. She averaged a double-double in two tough road games. Against Rocky she scored the game-winning basket. Gaizutyte hit 72 percent of her field goals (16 of 22) and 73 percent of her free throws (11 of 15).
Also nominated: Stephanie Dana of Montana Western, Alysha Green of Carroll College, Kassie Holmlund of the University of Great Falls, McKenzie Jessop of Westminster College, Molly Schenderline of Rocky Mountain College and Jasmine Stohr of Lewis-Clark State.
