Great Falls, MT - University of Great Falls volleyball coach Arunas Duda has announced the signing of Simms High School star Averi Pasma to a NAIA National Letter of Intent today. Pasma, the Simms, MT native, will join the Lady Argos volleyball team in the fall of 2010.
"We are thrilled to have signed Averi to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Argo volleyball team next season," an ecstatic Duda said. "We have been recruiting Averi for the past four years and are excited that she has made the decision to stay close to home and contribute to another conference championship-caliber team. Averi possesses all the skills both on and off the court that we value in our student-athletes and we can't wait to see the impact she will make in her four years here at UGF."
Pasma has been busy racking up awards and accolades during her scholastic career. Since first taking the court for Simms High, she has been a three-time 1st Team All-Conference pick and was a 2nd Team All-Conference pick on one occasion. In addition, she has garnered attention at the state level with four selections as an All-State performer and twice being named to the All-State Academic Team. The honors weren't limited to volleyball as Pasma has picked up three more All-Conference and two more All-State selections in basketball.
Pasma plans to major in biology at the university.
