JACKSON, Tenn. - The No. 3 seeded Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) Warriors kept their season alive by defeating No. 7 seed Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College 73-61.  This win puts Lewis Clark State in the quarterfinals for the fourth time in program history and first since 2001.

Lewis-Clark State scored the first three points of the game on their way to a 10-point first half lead, 15-5 at the 12:29 mark of the first half.  Lindsey Wilson, who had upset No. 2 seed Oklahoma Baptist in the first round, proved they still had upsets on their mind.  The Blue Raiders posted a 12-2 run to cut the lead down to two points, 19-17 with 8:09 left.  Lindsey Wilson stayed close, but couldn't seem to take the lead.  That was until a basket from Viktoria Krell with 2:31 left in the half put the Blue Raiders up, 27-25.

However, the lead would be short-lived as Lewis-Clark State closed the half with four straight points to take a 29-27 halftime lead.

That 30 second lead for Lindsey Wilson proved to be their only lead of the contest.  The first nine minutes of the second half was played very close as Lewis-Clark State managed only a one-point lead, 44-43 with 11 minutes to play.  However, over the next three minutes, the Warriors were finally able to pad the lead with a 10-0 run.  The Warriors stretched the lead to as many as 14 before the game ended with a 73-61 win.

Lewis-Clark (29-4) was led Sadie Short with a game-high 19 points.  Katie Hart added 13 points, while Vanessa West and Mandy Troutt scored 12 points each.

Lindsey Wilson (22-12) was led by Viktoria Krell with 17 points.  Krystal Jackson added 14 points, and Kara Osterfield scored 10 points.

Lewis-Clark State advances to the quarterfinal round to face the tournament's top seeded and undefeated Union Lady Bulldogs.  Game time is 7 pm on Saturday, March 22.
