University of Montana Western women's basketball coach Kevin Engellant
announced that Dillon native Brett Morehouse has joined his staff.
"Brett is a great addition to our coaching staff," said Engellant. "He is a bright and energetic young coach who will bring a tremendous amount of integrity and knowledge of the game to our program. Brett is a tireless worker and someone who will be a great fit on our staff at Montana Western."
Morehouse is a 1995 graduate of Beaverhead County High School (BCHS) of Dillon, Mont. and a 2001 graduate of Montana Western.
His coaching career began while he was a student at UMW. In 1999 he coached the BCHS boys freshman team for one season.
After graduation from Montana Western, Morehouse was the assistant girl's basketball coach at Bigfork, Mont. for three years and one year as the j.v. coach at Polson.
He then coached for three years at Victor, Mont. where he was the head boys and girls basketball coach.
Morehouse and his wife Bergen are the proud parents of a Boston terrier named Belle.
