Elisa Leader, Westminster College, a 5'8" senior guard from Winnemucca, Nev. was named the women's basketball player of the week.

The 16th ranked Griffins beat Holy Names 78-72, No. 13 Cal Baptist 101-90 and Northern New Mexico 99-58. Leader averaged 23 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game. She hit 61 percent of her field goals and 80 percent of her free throws.
