BUTTE, Mont. – The Oredigger volleyball team announced the addition of junior college transfer Mahsa Korol and Montana product Genesis Keith to the roster for next season.

Masha Korol is a 6-foot-2 outside hitter from Ukrainka, Ukraine. Korol played two seasons at Eastern Arizona College. She excelled in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) last season ranking fifth in total kills with 309. Korol also led her team and ranked ninth in the conference in hitting percentage (0.270) and kills per set (3.03).

"When Masha came to visit Tech it was evident what a great match it was," Solomon said. "She is excited to join Montana Tech and is coming to us after a great season at Eastern Arizona. Masha had a huge impact on the success of their season and has the ability to make a similar impact here."

Korol was named first team All-ACCAC and first team All-Region.

Masha, the daughter of Olga Selivanova and Volodymir Korol, plans on pursuing a degree in mathematics. She has a strong academic background with one of her four siblings having a PhD in Physics.

Corvallis High School's Genesis Keith has also signed an NAIA letter of intent to attend Montana Tech. The 6-foot middle was selected first team All-Conference and first team All-State last season. Corvallis High School finished second at the Class A Montana State Tournament. Keith is also a letter winner in basketball the last two seasons.

Genesis, the daughter of Michelle and Lath, plans on pursuing a degree in nursing.

"We are excited to continue to add great players and students to the program," Solomon said. "We had a great season last year, in large part to strong contributions from a strong senior class. Masha, Genesis and our signees from last fall will help us try to build off last year's finish."

Four seniors finished their career last fall. Montana Tech finished second in the Frontier Conference standings and second in the Frontier Tournament. The Orediggers reached the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in 28 years. After reaching the NAIA Final Site in Sioux City, Iowa, the Oredigger volleyball team made the final 16 teams.
