BILLINGS, Mont. – April 10, 2017 – Rocky Mountain College volleyball coach Laurie Kelly has announced the signing of Monique Rodriguez of Beaumont, Calif., to a Frontier Conference letter of intent.

Rodriguez is a 5-foot-10 outside hitter and team captain, who helped her Beaumont High School Cougars to a league title as well as a 25-6 record this past season. She led her league in kills and digs this past season, which earned her all-league honors as well as the league's most valuable player award.

Rodriguez is a three-year starter and earned scholar athlete status each of her four years.

"Monique is a great student athlete with high goals," Kelly said. "She comes from a competitive program and played for a very good club program in the Rancho Valley Club Team. She is enthusiastic and has such a positive attitude on and off the court."

Kelly added: "Monique is eager to take her game to the next level and will be a great fit at Rocky Mountain College."

Rodriguez is the daughter of Nelsen and Michelle Rodriguez, and plans to major in political science and pre-law.
