Dillon, Mont. - Men's Basketball head coach Steve Keller has announced the signing of junior college transfer and Idaho high school standout Connor Burkhart to the signing of a NAIA letter of intent. 

Connor played one year for Clark College in Vancouver, Wash. where he averaged 5 points and 3.4 rebounds a game, en route to winning the southern region title. 

"We are very excited that Connor  has joined our program, "stated coach Keller, "We look at him being a double-double player every night."617

A native of Shelly, Idaho Burkhart led Firth High School to three straight state championships and was named the 2A Idaho Statesman Player of the Year in 2013-14 and 2015-16, Burkhart was named to the ALl-Nuclear Conference Team three times. His senior year he averaged 14 points per game and 8 rebounds per game. 

Burkhart, a talented multi-sport athlete, also lettered in football, track, and baseball while he was at Firth. In football he was an All-Nuclear Conference tight end twice and an All-League defensive end. His senior year he made the All-Area team at tight end. In track, he was a league champion in the high jump and qualified for state in the high jump twice and the long jump once. In baseball, he was part of the first state win for Firth High School in ten years.

Connor is the son of Thomas and Nancy Burkhart and plans to major in business administration.
