Michaela Jeffs, a 5-foot-8 right side hitter/setter from Snohomish,
Wash., has signed a Frontier Conference/NAIA letter to play volleyball
for the University of Montana Western, head coach Katie Howells
announced today.
Jeffs will graduate this spring from Snohomish High School. In addition to her prep career, she was a member of the Northshore Juniors volleyball club.
"We are pleased to have Michaela join our program," Howells said. "She is a hard worker with a positive attitude and I look forward to working with her next fall."
In the classroom she maintains a 3.3 GPA.
"I chose Montana Western for two reasons. First, because the town is a lot like the one I grew up in," Jeffs said.
"Secondly, I wanted to find a school I liked where I wouldn't become just a number to the staff. I really like how close and caring everyone at Montana Western seems to be and feel as if this is exactly the type of school I have been looking for for the past two years."
She is majoring in biology. Jeffs is the daughter of Wendy and Ron Jeffs.
