Shelby Mack, a 5-foot-3  libero from Three Forks, Mont., has signed a Frontier Conference/NAIA letter to play volleyball for the University of Montana Western, head coach Katie Howells announced today.

Mack will graduate this spring from Three Forks High School.  She earned all-conference and all-state honors in basketball, volleyball and golf.

"Shelby comes from an athletic family and is a very hard worker," said Howells.  "She can read the ball very well and is quick defensively.  Shelby will be a great addition to our program."

In the classroom she maintains a 3.6 GPA. Mack received academic all-state honors in volleyball, basketball and golf. She was selected to her school's honor roll and is a member of the National Honor Society.

"I am very excited to get the opportunity to play college volleyball at Montana Western," Mack said. "I feel playing for Coach Howells and the Bulldogs will be a great fit for me."

She will major in elementary education. Mack is the daughter of Bill and Laurie Mack and the niece of Montana Western athletic director Mark Durham.
