Four student athletes have signed Frontier Conference/NAIA letters of intent to play football at the University of Montana Western, according to head coach Rich Ferris.

Nate Dennison is a 5-foot-11, 185 lb linebacker from Kalispell, Mont. He will graduate this spring from Glacier High School. In his senior season, Dennison recorded 85 tackles and one quarterback sack.

"Nate is a very hard working football player," Ferris said. "We have wanted to sign Nate since we saw him at the AA camp last summer. He worked hard during the camp and he impressed us with his skill level and his great personality."

Dennison also competed in track. He is the son of Dawn Frehse and Jeff Dennison and plans to major in business

Brandon Leikam is a 5-foot-10, 195 lb running back from Billings, Mont. He will graduate from this spring from Billings Skyview High School. He earned first team all-conference honors and second team all-state honors. During his career at Skyview, he rushed for 741 yards on five touchdowns on 152 attempts. Leikam was selected his team's Running Back of the Year.

"Brandon is a great fit for Montana Western," Ferris said. "He plays with a higher intensity than anyone else on the field. I look forward to working with an individual that is full-go at everything he does."

Leikam is the son of Chuck and Kathy Leikan and will major in health and human performance at UMW.

Sean Means  is a 5-foot-11, 210 lb linebacker/defensive end from Missoula, Mont. He will graduate this spring from Big Sky High School. He earned second team all conference honors and honorable mention all state honors as a defensive lineman.

"Sean Means is a serious football player," coach Ferris said. "From the moment he wakes up until he goes to bed, he means football. Rarely have I recruited a player who thinks, lives and breathes football. Signing Sean is a highlight of our recruiting season."

Means is the son of Joseph and Teresa Means and will study biology.

Brian Richardson is a 5-foot-8, 215 lb defensive tackle from Fayetteville, N.C. He will graduate this spring from C.M. Russell High School of Great Falls, Mont.  Richardson earned honorable mention all-conference honors.

Brian is a fundamentally sound, aggressive and extremely strong defensive lineman.  He will be a very immovable force in the future for our front.

As a senior he recorded nine tackles and three quarterback sacks. Richardson also participated in track.

He is the son of Brian Richardson Sr. and Marcia Trellis and will major in education.
