GREAT FALLS, Mont., March 17, 2009 - University of Great Falls Cross-Country and Track and Field coach Jim Brewer has announced the signing of Mike Camarillo toan NAIA/Frontier Conference Letter of Intent for the 2009-10 season.

Camarillo is currently a senior from Three Forks High School in Three Forks, Montana with a 3.0 GPA. At the 2008 Montana Class A-B state meet in Bozeman, Montana, Mike was the state champion in the triple jump and the runner-up in the long jump. The Three Forks native also finished in sixth place overall in the High Jump. His personal best records include a 42' 8" in the triple jump, a 21'1 1/2" in the long jump and 6'4" in the High Jump.

In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, building model cars and playing the bass guitar.Mike plans on majoring in Accounting while attending the University of Great Falls. "I am really looking forward to being one of the first jumpers for the University of Great Falls as they start a new track and field program. It will be an honor to compete for and with the University of Great Falls," said Camarillo. 
 
"Mike is extremely athletic and versatile in the different jumping events. His marks will be very competitive at the NAIA level," said UGF Cross-Country and Track Coach Jim Brewer. "We are humbled and excited to sign our first state champion to our new track and field program."
 
He is the son of Shawna and Jerry Meier.
